FD-PM provides specialist project management for fire, smoke and acoustic testing across the UK.

Working with manufacturers, suppliers and technical teams, the company supports the full testing process for fire doors, wall systems, glazing, pipe and service penetrations — from preparation and technical documentation through to installation, testing support and report review.

Our Story

Fire Door Project Management Ltd (FD-PM) was built from almost two decades of hands-on experience within the fire testing and fire door industry.

Founder Paul Taliotis began his career in 2006 at Chiltern International Fire in High Wycombe, working first as a laboratory technician before progressing to lab manager and then technical officer within fire testing. This background gave him a detailed understanding of the full testing process, from the physical preparation and construction of test specimens through to the technical documentation, specifications and evidence required for compliant fire, smoke and acoustic testing.

Today, FD-PM provides specialist project management across fire, smoke and acoustic testing for door sets, partitions, glazing, pipe penetrations and other compartmentation systems. With Paul also being a qualified carpenter and joiner by trade, the company is uniquely positioned to support both the technical and practical sides of testing, including door set preparation, installation, construction, documentation, specification review and client support throughout the full testing journey.

The company’s experience is rooted in working closely with accredited UK laboratories, major manufacturers, suppliers and certification schemes. FD-PM remains independent and flexible, allowing clients to choose the most suitable laboratory for their project while benefiting from the knowledge, accuracy and hands-on support of an experienced testing partner.

From its early work at Chiltern International Fire to its current role supporting clients across the UK, FD-PM has grown into a trusted, specialist business built on technical knowledge, practical craftsmanship and a clear understanding of what is required to achieve compliant, market-ready test evidence.
